Just recently we had the pleasure of mastering SF duo Tone Of Arc with their remix of the song Saturday Night which was originally written and performed by Vancouver based indie-pop fiends Yukon Blonde. Being new to the sound of Tone Of Arc I was excited to be working on this project. They have a very distinct, warm and unique flavor. It's moody, but definitely more upbeat with an element of funk that makes this remix a little indie dance floor heater for sure. Great use of samples and vocal from the original composition without distancing too much from the 80's inspired glam that the original so awesomely captures.      New young rapper out of Bedstuy Brooklyn, M.A.L.I.K Hooligan just finished up his debut EP "Any Other Day" here at The Submarine a couple of weeks ago.

     Smart, intelligent rap with a sound and delivery more reminiscent to the true old school feel of New York hip hop. A by-gone era that's still captured today and presented both thoughtfully and skillfully by a handful of young kids coming up in the scene that have something  genuine to say alongside beats and music that represent that energy.

M.A.L.I.K. Hooligan is def one to watch out for. Keep your ears peeled for this new artist and check the full EP here direct at the Soundcloud link. Word
