YUCK-FU feat NINELIVES THE CAT "NINJAS EVERYWHERE"
Where do I even begin...
NineLives The Cat is essentially one of my own ongoing alter egos. The title came about as the first of my club type breaks records started getting released while residing back in the UK in the mid 00s. It was a name that was a nod to my departed friend at the time as he split to the states and i continued cutting my production teeth on British soil. So over the many years due to being involved in many strange and wonderful projects NineLives The Cat eventually turned rapper after many colabs, and as the most recent scenario has just unfurled, this is probably just one more strange moment to chalk up in the long list of strange that is apparently NineLives The Cat.
The video was put together by this UK/French/Spanish collective in Paris called Grand Fromage Productions who for this particular project are known as Yuck Fu.. They hit me up initially to do this one track called "Ninjas Everywhere". A cartoon type look at being invaded by ninjas which where basically what i figured to be everything devastating and annoying with your everyday mess, but everything that you also constantly want and let into your space to make yourself think you feel much better for it all. Its an odd little gangster type ala Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels take on ninjas, David Guetta and a random dog dancing routine alongside Prince William forgetting his moves. Its definitely the most pop-esque type angle that NineLives has messed with and definitely a much more playful watch then my written synopsis i dare say. Please, do get amongst it!!!
