 | So to close out this year of 2014 we would like to introduce the lovely Danielle Kerani. also known simply by her stage name "Kerani". Born and raised in New York by way of Chicago, Danielle has once again made NYC her home and has been working hard at a handful of singles she has been releasing solo. Over the last couple of months Danielle has brought through skeleton tracks of piano and vocals, and with a little extra production thrown in we have managed to elevate this new singer/song writers music to new heights. COBRA KRAMES

This week we have yet again, hardest working man in label and release land, Cobra Krames. His newest EP, "No Patience" dropped a couple of weeks ago on his own Brooklyn label "Gold Whistle". The record is complimented with a bunch of awesome features from the likes of TT The Artist, Vyle and Sugur Shane. This is a total party record ranging from banger trap EDM type pieces to ass in the air Baltimore club style breaks. Written,produced and mixed by Krames (and associated rappers). THE GREYS -
EL ETERNAUTA
Here is a beautiful band from The Gold Coast, Australia named "The Greys" which I had the pleasure of mixing a little while back. An elusive noise outfit with a nod to the post punk/hardcore sounds of bands like Fugazi and Sonic Youth, these guys have managed to draw inspiration from the best parts of an era and mangle it into their own unique creation.
The Greys are made up Morris Lauga and Mark Duckworth, who I've had the pleasure of playing in various bands with over the years. With longtime drummer Brother "The Bat" Michael now living in Brooklyn himself. Duckworth, the spearhead is an enigma, amazing song writer and all round good guy with absolutely zero patience for an insane world destined to consume itself through stupidity and ignorance. With this as the general foundation and energy that gives the band it's fire, it was of no surprise that their new video aptly named "El Eternauta" should bring anything less.
This new video is a softly brutal, sweeping look at history through the eyes of human decadence, control and insanity, The Greys again manage to catch this sadness and loss of humanity in song that not many writers in this day and age of plastic and technology even come close to anymore.

TROUBLED MIND
Welcome to the world of off-beat Berlin based duo, Under The Tongue. Comprised of partners Mark and Julia Eden, these two have taken the best parts of Tom Waits/White Stripes meets Marilyn Manson and has managed to boil it down into their very own brand of weird and wonderful that makes this act truly stand out.
January of this year saw the both of them embark on a mission to New York to mix there up coming full length here at The Submarine. The record is a beautifully intertwining collage of styles composed of lush piano and guitar lines set against a back drop of clangy, overdriven drums and rhythm tracks giving the overall feel of an oncoming nervous breakdown in a bed of roses designed by your own personnel madness. It's a wonderful and crazy ride.
So the first single "Troubled Mind" just dropped a couple of weeks ago and it was actually the first time I'd heard the final mastered version alongside this incredible video. Shot beautifully on location at Julia's fathers house out in the wild Germanic countryside. This visceral look inside the troubled minds of Mark and Julia Eden is a brilliant precursor and testament to the strength and longevity of this upcoming album. Keep you ears and eyes peeled for the drop!!
